Ownership Types

The CBL offers a number of models for ownership of a team. These include;

• Single Ownership by a single person
• Co-ownership where two people take equal responsibility
• Group ownership where more than two people own a team

In Short, How Does it Work?

The process is pretty simple; decide who will be the owner(s), complete our one-day team owners training to learn how it all works – then you are ready to find players to build your team, recruit sponsors, and sell game tickets!

Won’t I have to compete with too many others?

No because your team (city) is protected territory and we have a strict entry policy to ensure a smooth ramp up of new teams, therefore we limit entries to each year’s league. The idea is to ensure quality throughout the league and maintain a team operations standard that reflects the league’s semi-professional standing.
